Lewis’s career as an architect is paralleled by a career as a painter. Consequently, his designs tend to take an artistic approach rather than a purely technical one. This is very evident in his work and filters down to the smallest details. His work is mostly contemporary in design, highly unique and sculptural. He has, however, developed enough diversification that he can meet a design style that is best suited to a particular area or region, and also to meet a client’s individual criteria.
The firm has been honored with many awards for design excellence and has been published in numerous magazines. Lewis concentrates on a very diversified practice which includes custom residential homes, multi-family housing, commercial structures and other custom facilities.
Lewis desires that his buildings strengthen the individual and enhance the community in which they are built. He believes that architecture should provide a great experience: where people are sheltered, people grow; hopes can evolve and mature. Energy conservation and sustainability should be integral to the design sensibilities and materials should be true to the natural environment. Beautiful design should nurture the soul and enrich the quality of life.
With the experience of running a large firm coupled with various artistic disciplines, the Lewis office produces work that is quality oriented with a commonsense background . Lewis enjoys relationships with clients on a one-to-one basis throughout the project.
